Social Skills Stories for the End of the School Year
You might be a teacher or educator if you’ve started counting down to the last day of school.
And as excited as we all might be, we aren’t there YET! And the final weeks of school can be very busy!
The end of the year brings a lot of change, and with this anticipated change, we often see an increase in behaviors in our classrooms. This is especially true of our students who crave predictability and routine.
I find one strategy that helps is incorporating social skills stories into our routine. These are social narratives that explain a situation or routine in detail. They outine what will likely happen, and other key details like when, why, and strategies they can use to cope with the situation.
Here are some of my favorite social skills stories to read as the end of the year approaches including my FREE Going to Kindergarten Social Skills Story. Keep scrolling to read more!
